If you go to maps.google.com, you can get highly detailed satellite pics of St. Croix from Google Maps, where you can see the individual buildings. Just go to maps.google.com and check it out. You can start off by typing "STX" which will zoom in on the airport. I've found places like my house, Plaza Extra, Sunny Isle, and various other landmarks on the island.

If you want to take it one step further, you can download Google Earth which is almost the same as Google Maps except it's an actual program that you use instead of on the web. Also, Google Earth manipulates the satellite photos, allowing you to actually tilt the camera and view places from a different angle. It's really cool.

the one thing to be sure you understand about Google Earth is that it is not real time data. They update the various maps one area at a time and much of the data is 3 or more years old. I can go back to view the house I lived in before moving to the islands and the Google Earth map still shows my old car and van in the driveway... from about three years ago or a little longer. And that wasn't somewhere quite as out of the way as the islands, so it probably will be updated more frequently.
