Hey, we finally went and got our VI Driver's License. We've lived on STX since August, so it was time. The cost per person was $82.00 Eye Exam at Pearl Vision - $20.00 (no appt. needed)
Passport photos at Hughes Photo- $15.00
VI Gov't($10-written test/$2-med form/$35-license)-$47.00
We didn't have to take the written test, but still had to pay for it. Also, in hindsight, I think you could snap a digital photo of yourself and copy it twice and cut it 2"x2" and take it in as your passport photo. They just want a head shot for their records.
Both Pearl Vision & Hughes photo are in Sunny Isle. The entire process took us about 3 hours - VERY expeditious for the islands. Now, we're official! 😉

Congrats, travelwoman, on being legal, and for accomplishing anything related to the MVB on your first try and in less than a full day! You should be floating up there in that gorgeous blue sky. 🙂

Hello there. I have been following your postings, advice, support and shared wisdom with others. I really admire your 'givingness' and intelligence in the way you assist so many others.

We do share mutual friends, but I do not have any way to ever get in touch with you except by hoping you read this. If you do, I would love it if you could send a note to [email protected]

I do have a question I would like to ask, but moreso just to make contact with such an intelligent, gracious person.

Warmest regards,

Dan G.

Nope, no blood test. Just don't forget to pay for the "invisible" written test that you never see or take!! 🙂

Thanks Dan, most gracious of you - I'll email. I know we share mutual friends.
