First, I know absolutely nothing about plants. That said, I have some great trees on my property, one being an orange tree. Right now I have some good size fruit hanging. Several oranges are about 3" in diameter but all are green. Any idea how long it will be before I can pick and enjoy?

In Florida anyway, oranges/grapefruits/pumolo are usually ready around December/January timeframe. Not sure if the cycle is accelerated in the VI. We also have a couple of Key lime trees on our property on Water Island as well as in Florida. Now....key limes cycle can vary. Our trees each have a different ripening/fruit cycle so in either place we usually have key limes at most of the times of the year. I don't know if it's different grafts or what the reason is. We also have lychee tree in Florida and we picked all the fruit last week so the birds wouldn't enjoy all the fruit instead of us! Basically, other than feeding the trees from time to time, I am an expert at eating the fruit but not an expert on the trees themselves.
