I am sorry to keep bothering everyone with questions. But I keep getting such helpful answers, I am getting conditioned to come straight here with my daily dilemmas.

Anybody have a recommendation for a good place to get haircuts? I don't need one right away, but my husband is starting to get shaggy. I don't know the right terminology, but he gets a haircut, like with scissors, not just clippers. Any advice would be appreciated.

the other half goes to david,i go there when i want my gray colored out,the rest of the time i use the clippers myself or i go to the place inside sunny isle next to the post office, just pay attention if you go to that one so they don't give you a "gangsta pimp" mustache lol i learned that one the hard way, you'll walk around looking like senator hill for a week or so

Crystal at Indulgences near Sunny Isle. Whenever I see a haircut I really like, something kind of new and hip, if I ask who cut it, the answer is usually Crystal, or "I had it cut in the states."

My husband went in to a barber near Chocolate Barbeque across from the gas station I think and told the guy he wanted 3/4 inch cut off and the barber cut it 3/4 inch...lol...and he had longish hair at that time...

Charlotte,
My husband had the exact same thing happen with a barber in STT. I think it's a language issue.

My husband, being an old sailboat bum, can't stand to pay for a haircut. Over the years, he has constantly harped on me to cut his hair. Every once in a while, I give in and do it, and sometimes it's OK, and sometimes it's not. So recently, I cut his hair, and I thought it was horrible, so I called and made an appointment for him with Crystal to "clean it up". He liked her, really likes the cut now, and maybe, just maybe, he will leave me alone about it and continue to go to Crystal.

Geez...I couldn't stop laughing at TRW's "gangsa" post! Just don't do what I 've done...have a wee bit too much wine in the evening and get the bright idea "I'll do it myself!!" (my hair doesn't grow fast at all)...then wake up in the morning and see the pile of hair in the trashcan and try not to scream too loud 'cause you already have a headache and now a big bald patch to boot. (not a Chucky H. 'do tho')

Definitely go to Indulgence and ask for either Crystal or Carol. I have lots and lots of curly hair and after MUCH trial and error, I found Crystal and wouldn't go anywhere else. She also has CHI hair product which is great.
