I think the really long space between was because of the guy giving rides to all the kids on his horse. It really slowed things down. He needs to be at the beginning or move off to the side next time.

we went but were so bored with the time lag we left

Had a wonderful time at the parade! After lunch, went to the government/public parking lot and someone had parked illegally and totally blocked our ability to leave! Got the police and within 15 minutes the tow truck was there and we were free to leave! KUDOS to the police and I hope they charged the bad guy double the fine!

I thought it was a lot of fun, big crowd & the board walk that I ended up at afterwards was a lot of fun; we met someone and got a boat ride from him to Buck island which was very beautiful & a great little mid day swim break, the crowd was pretty well behaved & it was a lot of fun!

I had no idea this was such a big event, it was very inviting and a lot of fun!

almost left also because of the lag. but if not for that great parade.
