as i look out toward buck island there has been a haze for the last few weeks. is this the sahara dust?

Yes, it is. Weather report says it should be lifted out of here by Tuesday.

Sahara dust keeps potential storms from developing during the summer months of hurricane season so while we miss our blue skies, it helps.
