this message board has been a great help so far. my wife and i are moving to st croix on september 1 and have a week-long stay booked at a christiansted hotel. after that, however, we would like to house-sit for someone while we look for an investment property. we are a youngish, polite, hard-working and honest couple who would hand back any house in better condition than we found it. many references available. can anyone help?

When you get here, ask owners and managers of restaurants and stores what kind of arrangements like this exist. I live out east in the wealthy area, and there are many such arrangements during the off season while such folks are back up north. You could try an ad in the St. Croix Avis under Positions Wanted. 340/773-2300
