Health certificate for STX-STT travel?

I'm thinking of traveling from STX to STT (and back) with my very small dog for a couple of days next week. Cape Air's website says that for certain routes, a health certificate "might" be required. Does anyone know if it's necessary for STX-STT, or can I save myself the time and the vet bill?

Also, does anyone know of any pet-friendly hotels in Red Hook?

Why don't you call the airline? If the govt doesn't require (which i doubt inter territory) the airline might to make sure the pet is in good health to fly.
