Hi- My girlfriend and I are coming down for another Vacation in the USVI our favorite Islands in the Caribbean at the end of April. We have made up our minds and have made an appointment with a Realtor to look at condos for sale on St. Thomas and St. Croix. We are here in Rhode Island. I am retiring in a year after 30+ yrs as a police officer, and she is a RN.
I have been looking in at this message board for a couple years now, and finally have a question that I have not been able to get an answer to. I am hoping someone here can help out.
Health insurance... We both have Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Does anyone know if that is accepted in the USVI ??

When I had Blue Cross it worked fine here. Everything will be out of network though.

Will your wife be working when you move here? If so, she'll probably have insurance.

actually, there are networks in the states that include the VI. You need a policy that covers the entire Blue Cross nationwide network and then it wouldn't matter if the address on the coverage was in the states.
