health supplements?

Good night,

Does anyone have suggestions on the best places on STX--if any--to look for natural foods/supplements? Specifically I'm in search of soy or whey protein powders and green food supplements such as Vitaforce, Vitamineral green, etc. Not just vitamins, but specific health/nutrition type items.

Loving the island but missing my local GNC and Vitamin Shoppe...

Thank you!

There's a shop just past 5 Corners near Car Zone that sells those things (according to their sign -- never been in). I'm sorry I can't remember their name, but I believe it's in a blue building. Maybe called "Le' khaime"?

Health Consious located in Castle Coakly may have what you want 778-6610 or maybe Lalita in Christiansted town 719-4417, they have a little storefront with all sorts of potions. I get my stuff online.

I get all of mine from www.vitaminshoppe.com - they ship to the VI's and quick - my order is usually here in 5-7 days and the cost is only around $9 (I think) I ordered 3 Solgar "Whey to Go" Protein Powders and a bunch of Atkins Bars and they were very good to work with.

I've looked all over the island for what you're seeking, and there's not much. I recommend bodybuilding.com. They've got great service and great selection, and they ship to the VI via USPS, so it's reasonable. And it doesn't take too long, generally.

I carry whole food supplements from certified organic farms, along with some protein powders and homeopathic remedies. Michelle McCanless, Family Nurse Practitioner 778-5777
