It's been exactly 4 weeks since my knee replacement. Everything is going well. Rehab has the knee back to almost normal - better than before surgery and maybe 75% of "normal". The two new knees are attached to an almost 60 year old body, so I'm not expecting miracles.

I'm off the pain meds and the fog in my brain is finally clearing. I'll be back on STX on March 3 and I can not wait. The weather in KY is much colder and gloomier than I remembered. I call Ric ever couple of days and he is beginning to annoy me. Every day on STX is warm sunny and bright -- I'm sick of hearing it.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I'm still alive and doing well, although I'll be doing better on the 3rd. My plan is to be sitting at the bar at Full Moon, sipping a rum punch (or pina colada or Margarita or -- you get the idea) and watching the palm trees wave on Cane Bay within hours of touch-down. If anybody's there, make sure to say hello.

Linda J

Linda, glad to hear it's on the mend - and I will see YOU in May, and Ric, too (the ever-optimistic buffoon who loves to rub it in that he's warm and wearing shorts).....I'll be cruising in sometime around May 20-24, something like that - look forward to seeing ya'll, catching up, and meeting some new folks I've met through this board.

Keep that therapy going, girl....but let me make sure I understand - you're going to give up a med induced fog for a rum punch induced fog? Yep, sounds like a good trade to me!

Warmest wishes from the very cold state of Arkansas, where I don't think the sun has been out in a month.....

Linda, I'm glad to hear you are doing well. At least you don't have as much snow as upstate New York! 🙂

And Linda from MI is right... it has been cold here. I actually had to put jeans on with my tank top the other evening!! 🙂

Hey - I resemble that remark! Greetings from frozen upstate NY, where last week we had wind chills to -25 degrees. Fortunately I'm still about 60 miles south of the now infamous Mexico in Oswego county, where there is seven feet of snow on the ground, with a foot or two more expected today and tomorrow.

Best news is that Linda's on the mend. Second best news is that I'll be in STX in 29 days (but who's counting?).

Hello to all. Yeah, too bad for for you guys on STX where it has probably gotten to 70 at night. I feel your pain!!!

Louisville has been just below the snow line. Indianapolis, 90 miles to the north, is having a blizzard. We're just having rain, lots of rain.

We should plan on having dinner one Saturday next month.
