I was given a pamphlet for Smokey Frett when I bought my paper. One of is more outrageous things to do is to pay off people's mortgages so when they rent to tenants they can charge lower rent. *-) Oh, and of course he wants to lower WAPA rates.

Cool 🙂

Did he describe the money making press he plans to borrow from the U.S. Mint?

No, but he's going to reduce property taxes, and lower commercial & residential rents. What a genius & some will believe his blather if he has enough fish fries & gives out enough T-shirts. He also had a lot of blah-blah about our "youth." They all go on & on about that until they get elected & then the poor kids are left with no textbooks, etc.

oh the food sales and fish fries are going strong over here, and i heard the 2 radio personalities had to quit their radio jobs in order to run for senate,so should'nt the anti gov website owner have to close that down as well?

Do any of the papers do articles about who is running for senate? I'm just trying to figure out how we'll know who to vote for . . . or who to vote against.

eventually they'll run a page of the same questions for the candidates and their individual answers, but the questions are never really very fun like how many out of wedlock children do you have and are you current on your child support ,or how many mistresses have you had since you've been married,or please justify an 85,000 buck a year salary when teachers, cops and nurses make about half of that,or how can you justify a full retirement after 2 terms when the rest of the gov employess have to put in 20-25 years,or how many lies or white lies have you told in the last week, they very seldom put the candidates on the spot, especially the avis, the Broadhurst family have owned the paper for too many years and too connected to be considered a fair, balanced and accurate paper.

Someone needs to start a website presenting all of that information . . . good and bad. I want to know all of the dirt but I also want to know good things - like the names of the only three senators who bothered to show up for the hearing the other day about that $250 million orange grove development project

Please remind me again about 6905 . . . I know I've heard about it but I can't remember what that was at the moment

Any other things people think we should consider about those that are running???

Hey, at least Chuckie isn't running, is she? 😮 She may be like Al Capone - only in jail because of income tax evasion.

And if you look at the oath and rules of the senate it says no sitting senator can propose or pass legislation that benefits themselves.

well i hear one of the senators is still sitting on a repeal bill, but legally they do not have to disclose who they are and another senator cannot propose another version of a repeal bill because one senator has already laid claim to it,and when they tried to do this before in 02 we had really big and effective protest rallies in 03 at all 3 of turnbulls inaguration events on all three islands, lol but the one in f'sted was the most effective because it was the most vocal and downright rude to the gov,but he got the point fast and vetoed the bill.

All right, I'm a registered no party voter now so I'll be seeking TRW's and the other concerned stake holders opinions, wisdom, experience and take on what's real about this election scene.
Should I diss the fab 5 who voted no on the Diego thing?

none of them have done anything except to confirm dr.terry, the senate does not want an educated public here because then people would see what they're up too,the senates motto is economic and educational slavery for all, except for themselves, their families and cronies,i may sound alittle harsh but from what i've seen over the years it's the truth. Bombi i can forgive the sneaky pay raises if the same senators who voted for them also voted for the diageo deal,i don't like it but i can overlook it,but if you voted for the raise and against diageo well thats unforgivable in my book.

and until we see the question answer thing in the paper they're all the same, food sales and free rum,and like the locals up here in Lavallee said when usie and serville came round for pictures at the refurbished ballpark, they only come round before elections, other than that they are never seen
