Just checking in with the VINOW crew, with a special hello to East Ender, Island Paul, Teresa, Pamela, and Islander.
The highly anticipated heir apparent, Zaya Makena, was born on May 4 at RLS Hospital. All is well--superb in fact.
Did I miss anything interesting?
Any questions re. pets, lawyers, medical care I might be able to help out with?
Well, I'm off to my first La Leche League meeting ... will stop back in later.

Heartiest congratulations and warmest hugs to that beautiful little lady, mom and dad. Hope to hook up in Food Center one day soon. You know to call me so I can dash over to greet all of you and meet Zaya! Right?

Congratulations Onika! I've been a lurker for awhile, and remember reading that you were due. What prompted me to write is that my daughter's middle name is Makena...spelled the same way. 🙂

Onika: It was great meeting you and Zaya. What a strange world this Internet society is, huh? Someone recently asked about having a baby at RLS, maybe while Zaya is napping one day you could write a L & D review! 😉

Teresa-- I don't know how you do it! I am exhausted and I only have one.
East Ender-- Did you see our friend on the cover of the newspaper and few days ago? Looked very professional!
LR, Ronnie and Island Paul--I'm sure she will have the opportunity to meet everyone at the next get-together, right?
STXsomeday--Makena makes a good middle name indeed. My father is Kenyan, so "happy one" in Kikuyu was truly fitting. Not sure how old your daughter is, but I found someone on the net who makes happy dolls and she makes a Makena doll. Just email if this might strike your fancy.
Well, I'm off to nurse or change diapers or...to perform any of the numerous tasks babies demand! I love it!

I've been off on the charteryacht show and out of touch with anyone who's not a Captain .... what wonderful news for you and Petrus. Send pics (I'm sure Islander can find a way 🙂
