I can't find any up-to-date info on the Innerwebs, not even a phone number. Maybe my Google-phu is out of shape.

Try the phone number on the sign, I don't know if is still any good. Or try 340-771-2522 (STT) and perhaps on that second number they will answer and get you the information for STX.
P.S. Yes, that was an actual photo of the sign for the Randall "Doc" James Race Track in STX.

i didnt think there were races at the moment with that whole track issue that was going on.

A friend of mine sent me that photo. I drove all the way from Christiansted to see if it was for real, and, it was...
i didnt think there were races at the moment with that whole track issue that was going on.
The thought crossed my mind before posting the info...

YES there is horse racing. Today's Avis, inside back page, says Memorial Day races set for 1:30pm Sunday.
Usually you can tell when a horse race is coming up, by the amount of horses that are being led either by trainers with another horse, or alongside a vehicle, near the race track.
