I am going to st thomas for my pre-move june 26-29, (might end up 17-20 due to scheduling issues). Does anyone have any suggestions for hotels? I am looking for something not to expensive and less touristy so I can get a better feel for the island. Also if anyone feels like getting a drink while I am in town drop me a line!

We stayed at Point Pleasant Resort on the East End. Cost was less than $100.00 per night (plus tax & service charge). PPR has condo units where you can prepare your own meals (especially breakfast) to save on costs.
The view is spectacular.
