Are the hotels pretty full in July? Or is this a quiet time for tourism on STX
Can I expect to get better ( cheaper) walk-up rates then the usual posted rack rates? Same question for condos and guest houses, what ever?

July is off season here. The prices will be somewhat cheaper. I STRONGLY recommend you make reservations ahead of time. The hotel where I work has been full for the last couple of weeks and from what I have seen, we're going to be pretty busy for the next several weeks. If we have rooms available, we typically give the guest a choice of a free room upgrade.

Thanks for that advice, Ric. I found out today that the people I am interviewing with will be arranging the hotel after all.
