Hi, I am thinking of moving there in the next month or so. I own/operate a company called Whitney's Wall-to-Wall Cleaning in the US. I specialize in cleaning vacant homes for Real Estate Agents. Do you think this service would be a good one to try to promote before I come down there? If so, where would I advertise (offices, bulletin boards)?

it is a big and lucrative business here as well... on saint john, at least, i know the short-term rental managers cant find enough people to clean the houses after each weekly rental. a well set-up and organized company could probably 'clean up' in this market. [heh. sorry.] anyways. yes, it is a needed trade here... you could do quite well. talk to all the rental managers once you get down here =)

Hello Whitney,
While you will need to advertise the standard way - newspaper and radio you will want to do a good bit of networking. Visit large businesses, private clinics, real estate people, villa agents ect - give them rates and information to look over and follow up after a few days- see if you can get them to be a regular customer. Join the Chamber of Commerce and network there too.

I know you posted this a long time ago. I was just curious if the cleaning service is up and running in Saint Thomas. I am moving down on Thursday and am looking for a person/people/company that could help me out with my house. Do you do residential? Could you reccomend someone if you are no longer doing this? Thank you so much!
