Has anyone seen Hummingbird feeders anywhere on island? I found a really pretty one at the nursery across from Plaza but the birds have trouble feeding from it.

Nursery across from Plaza.....sounds like you are on St. Thomas?? If on STX, Gallows Bay Hardware Garden Center has a lot.

I've seen them at Cost U Less in STT. Back by the animal food.

I don't know if we got ours at the same place as you (we live on STJ and do our major shop on STT so we know the stores on our "route") but the Plant Depot in TuTu have wonderful ones and they work like a charm - we had approx 10 at once trying to feed - they loved it. They have many styles there and we have the pale blue ceramic one with red flowers and it was recommended by the lady that works there (owner maybe) I wanted the hand blown glass ones as they are beautiful but she convinced me that this one works best and she was right.

purchased mine from Gallows Bay H. they have pretty ones....some cheap and some quite expensive.

I made a few of the holes a bit bigger so the sugar birds can get their beaks in also. i usually have to spray the top with a spray like pam to keep the ants out. they seem to love the sugar water also. only setback to a feeder. and the bees seem to find the in way in also.
