Hurricane Maria Insurance Claim help

Any suggestions as to what steps to take in making an insurance claim. I am off island and have sent an email to the local agent representative on St Croix. With no power/internet/phone service on island right now, they have probably been unable to read the email, and I have heard nothing back. I have tried contacting Lloyd's of London directly by phone but the representative is out of town and then on vacation till October 9th (really? - what's up with that - nice planning).

Do you think having already sent an email to the local agent is enough at this point to be sufficient for making a claim and get me in line? And now I just have to wait to hear back from local agent? Or should I be doing something more?

Are others in this predicament?

Who is your agent? I received an email from Marshal Sterling before the storm with instructions for claims.
