If you get ice delivery, they pull up in an open air pickup truck with piles of bagged ice. It's usually slightly melted and, when refrozen, clumps into a singular ice cube that you have to break with a hammer or chisel.

Our ice machine was on the fritz for a month at Salud and everyday we ordered ice in, one person was designated the "ice breaker" and spent 15 minutes whacking the bags of ice down to actual cubes.

I'm not sure where to buy an ice maker on island. I'd say eBay or the other equipment stores that you're familiar with, Chockman.

Thanks Noah. I own multiple hammers. I have looked into ice machines but from what I hear they are not very reliabl on island.Way to many little moving parts. I am thinking of having an ice company cooler on the property. Just have to see how much they want to rent me one for ?

There's a place right down from D&J range off the Melvin Evans with a bunch of ice machines out front. I assume they are a distributor of some sort but have no first hand knowledge.
