I seem to recall that there are restrictions about bringing cars over 100,000 miles or salvage cars to the VI. Does anyone know the law regarding this? I want to bring a high mileage truck to STX, or a salvage title truck.

Thanks

Doug

There is no such restriction of 100,000 miles on any type of vehicle. Don't know what a salvage title truck is. If it is a wreck, I hope VI Gov Say's no. We have enough junks on the islands already.(td)

Thanks Lizard,The salvage title is placed on when they were damaged to prevent repaired cars being sold as clean or new.I have bought salvage trucks in the past and they can be fine when repaired.I agree the VI doesn't need anymore junk cars. Why don't we some of the road tax money to dispose of some of the " junkers in the bush". This might provide a few jobs.
