I'd appreciate anyone who has experience with Broadband VI and Innovative Powernet DSL comparing the two services in reference to download speeds, reliability, costs, etc. I need internet service and would like to contract with the best provider. Thank you.

Frankhank,
There is no "best" here. The lesser of evils is dependent upon your geographic location and the level of stability and subscriber count in your immediate area. Both services will refund everything if you cancel within 30 days. Broadband is generally quicker about installation than Innovative and has slightly better customer service, but I would highly recommend speaking with your neighbors about their experiences with both companies. My suggestion for you is that you have both installed, then compare them first-hand and keep the one that performs best for you and cancel the other.

Great advice by jnrhome.

I am in Tulipan Welcome and have had great service from Innovative...1mbps DSL has been very reliable even staying up during Omar. I get 1 meg down and about 900k up so it's actually a little better for what I do (ftp stuff to others, slingbox) then my stateside DSL was when I left.

Are you on the main road into Tulipan or up in back? I used to live in Estate Welcome - the road to the left before the bridge! We never could get point of sight intenet or cable there.

I'm up on the road after the bridge, had no problems. I started with 512kbit and then they bumped me to 1meg when I called them. It's been almost a year and no problems so far here. But it really does depend where you are at...
