A Suzuki Samurai, in "island" 'fair' condition will go for around $1,500 to $2,000. In 'rough but runs' shape, figure a thousand. 'Needs work' condition, $500 to $800. For a Suzuki Sidekick (Geo Tracker), add at least $500 to the above prices. AnnNYPisces just bought a 2WD Tracker (Sidekick) in really nice shape, with good tires, no dents, fairly new top, from the original owner for $3,600. It has low miles, driven by a school teacher, has a radio AND a back seat. It's a nice one. I think it would be considered in 'good' condition on this rock. What year is that, Ann?

I am looking for a Sidekick (auto) for around 2000, if anyone knows of one, please give me a heads up. It doesn't need to be pretty, it just needs to run 🙂

Cheers

I've posted this before, have bought and driven, "island cars" for two decades now, max paid $1500 and they've lasted me 4-5 years with long-run minimal investment. But I do have a most reliable mechanic who will check out a vehicle for $50 and who has never failed me.

Have a great island car for sale. It is an '88 Ford Bronco II, 5 speed, 2 wheel drive. Pretty much everything is new including tires, clutch, radiator, brakes and water pump. Asking $1500.00, but best offer will take it. Please call 340 344 7156 if you want to check it out. It is on the east end of St. Thomas and totally legal until March '07.
