Island Trader

It comes out on Thursdays, I think. I don't know when they update the website with it though.

Usually the update of Island Trader takes place Thursday afternoon.
But once again, this is island thing - never know when they will get around to it, as there has been many times that it didn't get updated at all for 3 - 4 weeks at the time.
Lately, update has been done on regular bases on Thursday afternoon.
My recommendation is to keep an eye open on Thursdays - keep going back to it.
If you are registered on VI Daily - when you get your notification via e-mail for their daily news, you should be able to click on Island Trader and should have the current week updated..........

As you can tell that Island Trader for this week is still not updated on their website for this week.
Ugh!!
Don't they know that there are people who looks forward to the paper every Thursday?
Not necessary on the island, so they can't just go pick up a copy?
Anyone on the board know someone who works for Vi Daily?

Yep, the update had been spotty recently. Too bad - I need the "for rent" section. Anyone with a scanner and some free time out there?:)

They have cut a lot of staff at the daily news. Sometimes it is even hard to get an ad in. That may be part of the problem. But Thursdays is the target.

You need to get your ad in by 3:00 PM on Tuesdays and if all things are good it comes out on Thursdays. Some times some of the ads don't make it in. They have lost the east apartments several times in the last months. And as stated above it is hard to get someone to answer your phone call. They blame this on a staff reduction. I don't understand this as this is a revenue source and what do you want to make it easy for your paying customers. You can also put the ad it by the web. This may be the way they want to go. I have not tried it yet but will the next time I need to place a ad.

And as things go down here the electronic version on the web is not always updated and sometimes when you page through it you wind up in never never land. But it is free, a very unique thing down here.

Seems to be gone. Not on the main page where it was, and direct link ( http://islandtrader.vidaily.com/) is dead.
I suppose they decided that internet thing was just too much of a novelty to be useful. Back to good old killing trees.

Thanks so much for your replies, sounds like only the paper version is still available then. Will be down in 2 weeks and looking for some items to buy on STT or STJ, was hoping I could browse the for sale ads before arrival.
