I just read the income tax thread. You listed some taxes islanders pay. A question which has been in the back of my mind is;
Is the $450.00 road tax you must pay when you import a vehicle an annual tax all islanders pay?

Hello Ironman,

The road tax is when you bring/ship in a car, one time tax. The amount is affected by weight of car. 16 cents per pound last I checked.

Thanks Islander. I was thinking about shipping my car there however, after reading some threads about too many cars on island, I have decided to sell and buy there. Not to mention saving myself the hassle of shipping.
