"Many people do walk Magens Bay especially in the morning ..."

Total heaven to me. As the sun rises the locals come out to do their pre-work thing - walking, running, hiking (there's a lovely trail) either along the beautiful mile-long beach or the adjacent paths; small yoga and exercise groups; swimmers. The pelicans wake up and swoop down for small fry, the resident cats wait for the lady to come replenish the cat café, groundspeople rake the sand by hand, others lay out the lounge chairs around the concession area to prepare for the day's cruisers; soon the smell of frying bacon and brewing coffee wafts around the beachfront café concession. The sun creeps over the beach and the wind soughs through the palms; soon the mongoose start scurrying around, often with babies in tow; sandpipers scuttle across the sand as the waves gently ripple in, and the seagulls have a regular natter-feast going as they gather in pairs to discuss the day ahead. The iguanas are slow to rise, wait for the sun to come up and warm them as they drape themselves over high branches.
Total heaven to me.
