Good Evening,

I'm looking to gain employment with the school district in St. Croix. I'm currently working in Florida as an ESE teacher. How long does it take for them to reply or schedule an interview?

Why would you want to be a teacher here? The pay sucks and the government couldn't care less about teachers. Additionally, you'll have to fork over 11% of your pay (or is it 14%) to the soon to collapse government retirement ponzi scheme.

They can be quite slow to reply. I would call, repeatedly, if you can find a working number. There is definitely a need for teachers. I think there is 120+ vacancies right now. But its tough because pay is low, deductions are high, and they just can't compete with offerings in stateside schools. We are also currently on split day schedules. And even though they say they are going to have mobile classrooms ready for the start of next school year to get us off of split day, I'm not going to hold my breath.
