Just got back from STT

Hello all:

My wife and I, just came back from visiting STT. We went down for three days to meet with a realtor and see properties and walk through town and get a feel of things. I definately need to go down again in July to take the BAR exam as we are hoping to move by October.

My name is Chris Smith and my wife's name is Louise and I would just like to say hello to everyone and thank everyone for all of the time and thought that they have put into this forum. It truly streamlines my homework and I have found great advice here. I'd like to become more of an active poster now as in the past I have been passive and just reading posts.

We can't wait to make this a reality and would love to connect with some of you when we get down there. I'm 30 and Louise is 33 and we just hope to meet some interesting people when we get there. A lot of you seem very nice and knowledgeable and I'd like to get more involved in the board.

In sum this is really just an introduction posting and after our visit (got home yesterday) I do have some questions but that will have to wait until I get home from work.

A little about me. I am an attorney and hope to find work at a firm on STT. Louise is in marketing at VH-1 and would love to do something in that field or open up a local chapter of a charity she started here in Long Island.

I'd like to thank Onika if she is reading this as we conversed about a year ago and she really provided me with a lot of great information as well as inspriration. Thank you Onika.

Well, that's it for now. I hope you are all well. Please feel free to contact me or just say hi.

Welcome Chris & Louise,

Glad to hear the board has been useful to you. Your participation is definately welcomed, ask the questions you have and we will try to answer or direct you to a resource where you might find more information. And when you move your thoughts, experiences are welcomed as well to help others plan their moves. Happy Planning,

--Islander

Hi Chris!
Yes, I do recall our communiques last year. In fact, I have some hiring scoops that may be of interest to you and do not necessarily require admittance before being considered for the position.
Feel free to email off the board: bengalese2000@hotmail.com
Hope the housing scouting trip was successful!
Onika

Hi Onika: just wondering if my e-mail regarding the "hiring scoops" got to you. Hope all is well!

Hi Smitty!
Hmm...no, I didn't receive an email from you. However, that may be due to the fact that I was in bed all last week with variations of a stomach flu and a cold. If you did send me email during that time it may have gone to junk mail and been automatically dumped w/in 3 days.
Try again!

Onika: so sorry to hear about the flu. I had it in December, no fun at all in cold or warm weather. I'll resend that e-mail now to bengalese2000@hotmail.com, thanks again for the follow up. Feel better!
