Hi Rita,

From my experience, electronics is one of those items where you can get much better prices in the stateside super retailers. When I've shopped that stuff on STT, I found prices to be very high right across the board. Stick with the other items that can be great buys on STT.

You can try Sam Goody, they have video games at stateside prices. There's also this music store in Tutu Park mall that carries video games. KMart has em too, but I'd stay away from them, cus they like to increase the prices and rip you off.

Dear Dominic,
Thanks very much for the information I was hoping to avoid buying it in the states and lugging it to the Carribean but I guess the kids will be a little disappointed if they don't get gameboys and get linens, jewels or liquor instead(kids, what are you gonna do : ) )
Thanks again,
Rita

Hello Rita,

I maybe wrong but I think there was a bit of miscommunication... it seemed like you thought Dominics suggestions were for you to buy them at Sam Goody and Kmart back home and bring with you... when it fact Dominic's suggestions are for buying them ON island.

There is a Sam Goody in Charlotte Amalie St. Thomas. Radio Shack in Nisky and Havensight also carry different kids gadgets for x-mas. Record Town is the music store in the mall that Dominic mentioned. And K-Mart has two locations on St. Thomas in the mall and in Lockhart Gardens close to Havensight.

I would definately suggest you use the yellow pages http://www.viphonebook.com and look up those electronic/music stores and call and ask if they have what your kids have on their santa list and how much and HOW many they have. It would be a huge shame and heartbreak if your kids thought Santa didn't deliver while you guys are on vacation in the islands!!!

Have a great holidays in the islands.
