go to overdrive, com or org-dont remember which. type in a zip code and it will tell you if a library in that area has lending. we of course do not have lending. i sent my check out today for The Free Public Library of Philadelphia. for a 35 fee you can join for one year and they have a ton of books to choose from. i also still have my library card from marathon fl and they have ebook lending.
check it out and post back

Hey, speee1dy! Everything I can find about the new Prime deal looks lousy. Have you any more information on borrowing books on a Kindle? I have a friend who bought a Nook instead because they are more library friendly. Help!

i have no problem with library lending, i am on about my 15-20 book with the Philadelphia Free Public Library. i do not use amazon prime so know nothing about that. i also use lendle, which is nice but a lot of free and cheap books so not the newest bestsellers but you earn "money" on books you lend and when you get to 10.00 they give you a giftcard for amazon.. the PFPL has thousands of books. Bestsellers too.

both the library and lendle make it easy to get the books. lendle has a box that says get for kindle and you click the link and it downloads to your kindle if you have wifi. otherwise you have to hook up the kindle to the computer and download that way. the library is a bit different, you have to add the books to the shopping cart, check out and get for kindle. via wifi.
do you have wifi?
