Does anyone know if the Kmarts in the Virgin Islands participates in this rewards program? I've been hearing conflicting information about it.

If you read the fine print, it doesn't appear so. Although Puerto Rico gets a pass. They must have copied their terms of service from Amazon.
They had a rewards program here in STX several years ago. But they cancelled it before we had enough points to be rewarded. So I'll sit out until the local stores start to promote it.

Why would KMart want to reward us for buying all the junk they can't sell at mainland stores?

NO, we were just in the Kmart on St. Thomas in May and asked if they participated in the program and were told NO, they do not.
