While we celebrate a three day weekend (some of us). Let us take time to remember what this holiday is about. The sacrifices, including death at the hands of corporate thugs and even the U.S. Military, that early organized labor endured in this country to enable us to have a weekend at all, let alone a three day weekend. Labor Unions supported my family, fed me, clothed me, and helped school me and I will always support them.

"Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration."
