Can you get the items into your Expedition? That'd be the best

I thought you couldn't ship your vehicle with any extra items in it.

You can ship those things to STT easily with a little bit of money.

I shipped a larger smoker oven from eastern NC to STJ. I found someone locally that crated it back home. Then I called Tropical Shipping once I got settled here. They sent me papers to fill out. Then they sent a trucking company to pick up my crate at the place where it was crated. Tropical had one Bill of Lading. I dealt with one person. Paid the same person, and picked up my smoker from the same person here on STJ. My experience was very smooth. The key was arranging the crating back home. Moving companies crate items, but are usually very expensive. I found a local shipper that would do it reasonably for me.

Your flat screen is big. I was able to package mine (only 27") and check it as baggage on a flight here. Along with my PC.

Please do a PMV. I see you have been hanging out here for a while. So you know the drill. It does make a difference. I have no idea how moving kids would go. It would be more difficult for sure. But doable if you can choose where you want to plant your stake before bringing them. Hence a PMV.

Good luck.

Yeah I know I didn't name the trucking company. I don't remember who it was. Doesn't matter. Tropical takes care of it for you. Keep in mind, they take care of Customs documents, bill of lading, the whole thing from your door or agent to STT. http://www.tropical.com/External/en/services/LCL

So, puddlejumper...any chance that large smoker was to make NC BBQ? If so, is there a restaurant?

Yup. But overhead has so far nixed any potential places so far. Leases and WAPA. Stay tuned.

Being a North Carolinian myself that is exactly what I assumed you were doing! Eastern or Western style? I guess it doesn't really matter 'cuz I love it all!!!

Was the restaurant to be in STJ? What part of NC are you from? I'm from Wilmington, but now live in Hendersonville (near Asheville).
