Las Brisas, in Frenchtown STT (big pink Old Noche building) is closing it's doors after November 28th. I loooove their food and am sure some of you feel the same. Thought I would pass on this sad news. If you haven't been, better get over there quick! And if you have been, go pay your last respects!

Is there some kind of jinx on that building? I loved Noche & also Las Brisas plus they have a parking lot. I'm really upset to hear this.

I think the jinx is the $10,000 a month rent

That'll do it. The landlord can have the building sit empty for months like before & collect nothing rather than give a good tenant a break for a while to get the biz off the ground. That happened on Main Street after Marilyn also. Spaces sat empty when long-time tenants were struggling in the aftermath of the storm & had to give up.
