Hi everyone!
Ok well I just wanted to say this is pretty cool, this website that is. I just stumbed upon it and wanted to post a message. I am leaving to move to STT next Tuesday. While I am a little nervous, I am very excited! I would love to have more contacts such as you all becuase I am going to be moving without knowing anyone. Is anyone here looking for a roommate and if so when? I have found temporary housing for now and a part time job but i am going to be on the search when I get there. My sister is moving out there in about six weeks to join me and by then we will really be looking for a safe, clean apartment. Any suggeastions on where to look or who to go through? For all of you coming out there on June 2nd...keep in touch and maybe I will be able to show you around some. Also where is everyone looking for jobs and what is out there?? Thanks for listening....

Hello Summer,
Welcome to the board!! All the best with your upcoming move. Definately keep in touch on the board when you get to St. Thomas, a good bit of folks visiting for their pre-move trip later in the summer and some moving at that time as well.
Check out the Daily New and Island Trader for apartment classifieds when you get on island. And also you can drive around while visiting the apartments from the classifieds and make note of apartment for rent signs that some landlords put up at the end of their driveways.

I just wanted to say thanks for the advice and help...sorry it took a while for me to respond. Are you out there now? And where are you if so?
I agree with your get together later in the summer...that would befun! I will definietly be in touch over the board and email. Let me know if you are already there and maybe we can get together.!!
