Here we go,

We are moving to the Virgin Islands (St. Thomas, St. John or St. Croix in order of preference) from East Orlando, Florida. 20 minutes to Daytona Beach and 20 minutes to Downtown Orlando.

Here's my idea for what it's worth.

My wife and I currently rent a recently renovated 1 bedroom house with a garage for $750.00 a month. This does not include any utilities. Now, We are looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom house or apartment in the USVI to move to. This house sits on an acre of land but is located in a small city close to everything; Super Target, Publix, Super Walmart, Blockbuster, Kmart, Mover Theatres, Sanford Mall, Hooters, KFC, Mcdonalds, Nathens, Taco Bell, Burger King, Olive Garden, Dennys, etc.......

My thoughts are that if we could find someone wanting to move to Orlando that we may be able to swap our rental arrangements which could actually lead to a vehicle swap, some furniture swapping, etc...... I will pay the current months rent and you will be fine until the first of the following month.... You will have to get the utilities switched over and all into your name.

By doing so, both parties may be able to save alot of money and it would sure make things easier on both ends. In my eyes, it will be really easy to get a few plane tickets and carry my clothes with me than to move everything and ship my 1996 Jeep Cherokee (which is white and in great shape for your possible vehicle swap information). What do you think?

I know it may not be perfect on both ends but that can be worked out.

Just a thought. Let me know yours.

House Swap (rent vs rent) Just swap leases (with landlord approval of coarse)
Vehicle Swap (even-up or some cash either way)
Furniture? (up in the air right now)
Jobs? You don't want mine trust me...LOL!
Wife? Taking mine with me...LOL

I think you get the idea.

Hope to hear from someone.

I moved to STT from Orlando almost two years ago and love it here. BIG change though! Good idea on the swap situation if it works out! I am sure you know it's very expensive here.

Talonz82 (Peter) is moving to Orlando and also looking for a car stateside. you might want to PM him. I know from a previous post he was looking for someone to take over the remainder of his lease...i think it was STX, but you can do a search for him.

good Luck

Joe,

You have a great idea! However you offer me way more than I could offer you in return, please don't ask me to elaborate, to make a long story short I have postponed my Florida move, I lived 2007 in Puerto Rico and a project has developed to allow me to return and spend the summer there. Perhaps around October time frame i may be heading to Florida. Good luck in your quest!

Peter
