We have a few friends here in STX and they keep sayin let's go for a "lime" I think we know what it means but we're too stupid/embarrassed to ask so anyone wanna enlighten us

chill or cool out, usually at the beach....

Came from back when the pirates dem would land after sailing for months...they were so deficient of vitamin C, they would all lay around the beach sucking limes....

when dey reach we going for a lime

the lime on friday is 2+2

da farm was a bad lime...

Varied uses but do you catch the drift? Mostly hanging around...similar to the way the limes hang out on the tree.
