I'm planning on moving to vi in october. I think I've found a place to stay for the first month. It's called the vill fairview, and it's located at 8a catherineberg on st tom. I'm trying to figure out where that is. I'm planning on staying there and commuting to st jon looking for work and a place to live. I'm wondering if it will be an easy commute from that location, I will not have a car. It' s priced fairly cheep so I'm hoping it will work for me. From the window you can see hassel island if that helps. If anyone knows where that is, or even any thing about the quality of the esablishment I'd love all the help I can get. Thank you

Dobrman:

I have no idea either where it is, but I am also booked to be there in August. I got the name from this fabulous message board and from the quality and sincerity of all their responses, I trust them expicitly. I did talk to Ronnie, who told me he is a "wealth of information" which, again, has been echoed on these boards. I have complete faith and can't wait to get down there to scope it out.

Angela, you are staying at Crystal Palace. That is overlooking the arbor. Villa Fairview is 'around the corner'. It's hard to explain. Once here, you will understand streets and directions.

dob: You might ask about the safari route to Red Hook. I bet it would be easier to take the dollar cab to the ferry than to try to buy a cheap car and find a parking place. By fall there should be a ton of construction in the Red Hook area. If the town ferry is convenient, it would be even easier, but I don't know that they leave early enough. Ronnie???

To Angela...let me know when you understand the streets and directions...I still have trouble! 😉

The first ferry out of CA is at 9AM They used to have an earlier one eons ago; wonder if we should petition them to do it again?
