Hello!

My husband and I currently live in Utah, and are wanting to move to the Virgin Islands. We're pretty much open to living anywhere, so just looking for some recommendations on the best places to live. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

have you narrowed down the island yet?

what are your needs
what do you like to do
do you need jobs
do you need healthcare
do you need schools.....

As suggested in your other thread, read all the information in the drop-down menus top of this page and then plan a pre move visit to see if island living suits - and which would offer you the best opportunities.

A sticking point for many prospective newcomers is that the territory doesn't subscribe to the Affordable Health Care Act and there is currently no affordable individual health care insurance to be had here.

Have fun researching!

Thanks for your help! We would like to live on either St. Thomas or St. Croix.

We love doing things outside and like being very active. We have previously lived in Hawaii, and would love to get back to the island life!

I am a dental hygienist and my husband works from home. So I would like to have a job.

My husband needs healthcare, but I am already insured.

We don't need to be near any schools.

Be sure to check the terms of your policy. Most policies issued stateside will only cover you for up to 6 months when you move here while some aren't even accepted here.

We are slaves to health insurance. So sad.

My wife and I have a plan to move from California to the islands. We were thinking st. Croix. I'm a teacher, and my wife works in finance so we would both like to have jobs. One of us would need one in order to move. Any suggestions from people who have done this?
