So last night i locked my keys in the car...with no spare. Has anyone done this before on St. Croix and know what steps to take? I guess I'll have to call a locksmith, just trying to figure out how to do this the simplest way. Thanks!

you can try to find someone with a slim jim? not sure other than a locksmith who would have one. my bf has done that lots of times, now keeps a spare in his wallet. also a spare in the house.
in the states you can call the police, not sure if thats done here unless child/pet locked inside.

See if the local car dealer can make another key. Maybe the cheapest option.

Some cars can be unlocked remotely (eg: OnStar).

Thanks. I called Franks Towing Service - $75 for them to unlock. Better than breaking the window, right? 😉

Was just thinking that myself. Tow truck has helped me out more than once.

Does anyone have the "road service" available on STX? I can't think of the name of the company. I seem to remember thinking it was a bit pricey compared to AAA in the states, but if one is prone to mishaps such as keys or flat tires, etc., it might be worth it.

There is one on STT. Check out the ad on stthomassource.com.

Off the subject but after 15 years here I have decided it is embarrassing that Bobby's Towing owner has a nick name for me. I called him a few months ago and he called me Pamie. I laughed so hard. Guess I have gotten a little to close to my towing service.

Oh no Pamie, the car is stalled on Raphune Hill in rush hour traffic and you don't have your DL with you? Coming right away ....
