We are looking for a business in VI that has at least 3 year good record. If you own a business and wish to sell please let me know by e-mail and if it makes sense for us then we will visit.

Dar Pftopolis,

I think it would be helpful if you could be more specific about what kind of business you might be interested in. The islands have such a diversity of businesses, both large and small. If you're in the financial/insurance or real estate field you probably wouldn't be looking at a local barber shop and if you're a land-bound barber from a mid Western state who's never seen the ocean you probably wouldn't be looking at a dive business. Or maybe you would!

Need that kind of security huh? Three years.

I know of a rediculous opportunity in down town STT. Look up the KOPKOPELLI CAFE in the book and ask for the owner.

He just put a TON of money into a location that he couldnt manage because of family issues. The lease is very attractive and the building is completely over hauled with new equipment. It was a pizza/italian joint. I think he wants 30 cents on the dollar for the two month old equipment (30k) and just take the lease. The location is on back street with street access to Main street where rent is over $100 per sq ft!!!

It is as crazy as it sounds. I f you are even marginally business saavy you can make it work.

FYI... I am not an agent or will not make any profit from this deal. I was going to do it but I remembered that restaurants are not my favorite.

Good Luck

If you're interested in this ice company, Pftopolis, be VERY careful because, along with a bunch of other customers, I've enjoyed awesome service from them for quite a long time and you need to keep the regular customers happy before thinking about expansion - and expansion is certainly an option! Cheers, dear!

Well, Pftopolis,

You've been rather quiet since you originally posted!

Suggest you come here on a PMV to properly check out your options. Almost every business here is for sale for the right price!

Sunset Grill, which is on the beach at the west end of the island, north of Fredriksted. It's very close to the land being developed by William & Punch Partners and should experience a nice boom in business as soon as construction commences.

There is also another business in Christiansted that has been on the market for a while. Bongos is a bar/nightclub that is fairly popular for late night revelries. Other restaurants and bars are available now and then, also.

Oh, Noche is definitely for sale as far as I know. As are the other two Duffy enterprises- one on St. Thomas and one on St. John. I heard that the total package price for all three was $3M.

Sean, do your research well!

Hey STT Resident,
I heard Duffy's went for much less than that. The STJ Duffy's is now Leapin' Lizards, or something like that.

5year old nursery(plants) for sale. actually the location has been
a nursery for 30+ years. Leaqving island to take custody of my wifes child back from husband.
excellent location unlimited water supply, garden center could be built on location, water sales, landscape division, hardgoods distribution center, equiptment rental, are all things that could be added to this already well established business on 5+ acres.
fully stocked w/.field grown palms and container grown ornamentals.
we are running this business as trhough it is not for sale, we are
propagating plants and making new stock on a regular basis.
contact Errol Chichester at dept. of agriculture for reference
778-0997 or 778-0998
we also have a well established landscape company who would be willing to staff the business as well as a good friend who worked
for Margaret Hayes for 30+years
