Looking for Bookcases

Hey Everyone,

I need a pair of bookcases, each about 3 feet wide and 6-7 feet tall. I'd like solid wood - no particle board. I've looked around and am about to have some made but thought I'd check first to see if anyone has any suggestions I may have overlooked.

Thanks.

Have you looked at Casa Rustica on Raphune Hill? They had some pine ones at one time.

I can make you some out of teak wood if you would like. The bugs will not eat it like they will pine, and it will last for ever. Also it is maintainance free. No stain, no oil if kept inside. Just solid wood. E-mail me if you need teak wood book cases. Or boat decks etc. That goes for anyone on STX.

If you own your place, go to Home Depot on STT where they will cut you pre-treated stock to your specifications and help you out with the attachments you'll need to install either to concrete or drywall.

If you're renting, then ask your landlord about what you can or cannot attach to the walls. Most landlords are pretty adaptable where longterm tenants are concerned but they generally require that if you burrow into the concrete or drywall, you fix before you leave the rental property.

Free-standing units can sometimes be found at Cost-U-Less, KMart and PriceSmart are also good venues (although the huge FOR LEASE sign at the entrance to PriceSmart rather indicates that they're maybe leaving?)

Check with your landlord if you're leasing and otherwise look into options which East Ender provided. Cheers!

I found a nice furniture place in the Bovoni Center. First store on the right. They had some free standing wooden shelves.

PS STT. I don't believe it's Pricesmart up for lease, it's the property on the left as you drive in to Pricesmart.
