Just curious if anyone knows of a new place that was slated to open this season downtown in the main st/drakes passage/hibiscus alley area. The building itself was an old designer fashion outlet, and sits between main and back streets. Just wondered if it ever got off the ground seeing how it was talked up as being the new "it" bar on the island. Thanks.

That bar is called Wax, a martini bar.
There is a bar upstairs from it called, Cue. Cue is more of a "game room" with TVs, darts and pool tables.
It's across the alley from Virgilio's.

So that must be the previous "Tommy"?
Every new place which opens is the "it" place for a while until, all too often, they simply disappear!

And the new place, the third one, will not be opening, as well as their restaurant in the Grand Hotel.
