Good Morning!

I am from Philadelphia looking to move to St. John. I visited St Thomas and St John a bit ago, and I fell in love. Since then, I thought about moving there and now it's a possibility. Me, my boyfriend and two of our friends have started researching moving to this beautiful island. Any advice and information would be awesome to have! If you have anything to share, I would love it. Thanks!

There is lots of 'advice and information' available on this site especially in the drop down menus above in the header and on the search function.
Specific questions posted here on the forum are usually answered daily and as your research continues can be very helpful - but a general post like yours doesn't really allow for much of a chance for residents to respond with directed answers.

STJ is a small community, most jobs are service oriented and seasonally available - some retail or construction jobs are more year round - it is also the most expensive of the VI's in every facet of living.
Do some searching and refine your information needs a bit more narrow and I am sure you will find the forum helpful.

with a user name like that I bet you are going to be looking for a way to clean out all the spam you'll soon be receiving (haha).

Move with 10k and a plan to leave (if it comes to that, which for a lot of people it does seem to).

Practice bar tending (you'll need it) or table waiting unless you have a carreer to support your self set up.

early DEC to June (or longer, depending on the industry) is the tourist season and the easiest time to find employment.

Google a lot... G'luck!

I didn't even see the user name was an email address -- Seriously suggest you delete your post and find a less personal username.

Read the published gospel of the board. Ask questions later. The more specific your questions are the better info you will get.
