We will be moving to the mainland after many years living on STT and have a bit of stuff that we would like to ship (that won't fit in Rubbermaid containers...) like stereo gear, paintings, musical instruments, some tools, etc. Has anyone had any experience with this lately that can share tips/ideas? There's lot's of info for moving on-island but not much about moving from here to the States.

Get a copy of your drivers record to take with you. Car insurance companies cannot access the VI records. So if you cannot prove no citations in the last 3 years you'll pay a premium.

Wow, I hadn't even considered that aspect. I am not surprised that they cannot access the records - great tip. Thanks.
