Hello Everyone,

My fiance and I will be relocating for work this summer from NYC. He'll be going down 2 months before I do and will need somewhere to stay for the month of June while he looks for a permanent apartment for us. Does anyone know of people/places that offer temporary furnished rooms or small apts to stay in? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Also, if there is anyone else in the same boat I'd love to hear from you! I'm 25 and my fiance William is 33. I won't be working at first and would love to just explore the island and be as social and involved as possible.

Thanks!

Alexa

I just want to amend my post by noting that we'll be moving with two small dogs, so our permanent residence will have to be pet-friendly (if anyone hears of anything!). But the temporary residence needed for the month of June is just for my fiance until he finds us a permanent place, hopefully as of July 1st.

We do have a condo that will take small dogs for long term rentals. Look at our website Hideaway-villa.com
Let me know if we can help you in any way.

Depending on where he will be working and if he has transportation will be the limiting factors in temporary housing - it is not easy to commute from some places - especially after dark.
Being on island he will have a lot more info and knowledge about STT and finding short term lodging close to work or convenient to tansportation will be a lot easier than online.
Some short term places - Villa Olga in Frenchtown - Crystal Palace in town - Sandals by the Sea in Red Hook
Once he is here and has time finding a more permanent place for you and the dogs will be considerably easier and being summer time not likely to be a problem.
Do not rush into a place and do not rent online unseen!

Thanks for the info! He'll be in Frenchtown and won't have a car to start so I figure we can find something for him to stay for a month before he gets there and once he's there he can look for an apartment for us. I'll definitely check out Olga in Frenchtown.
And thank you everyone for being so helpful! I'm very excited to move here!
