Does anyone know if it is possible to get a new copy of your registration without your title or a new copy of your title without your registration? I've had to get a title before, but I had the regsitration at the time.

THanks,

Beth

Thanks, Terry... I don't have insurance on the vehicle, either.

You need to go and get an afadavit form them. It costs $10. Fill it out stating what you have lost and have it notarized. Take it back and you will get it. You may have to show insurance which is mandatory.

I know... it is a catch-22.... can't get the insurance without the title and registration, can't get the title and registration without the insurnce... and all of the paperwork is lost somewhere at my old employer's house and I am sure I will never get it back. *sigh*

Beth,

Take the form to the insurance company to be notarized. Try one of the smaller companies on island. They should be able to provide a temporary binder. Take this with the notarized form to get the title and registration. Then take the title/registration back to the insurance company for the actual insurance card.

A lot of running around but it will work.
