I like the little cafe in the middle of Mongoose Junction, Black Dog, I think. Good food and bar, good shopping!;)

I love The Beach Bar. You can't beat the view, and they serve seaweed salad (or at least they used to last time I was there!) as a side which is something other than the regular fries. If somebody in your party just has to have air conditioning, this isn't the place for them. It's all open air.

The cafe at Mongoose is Sun Dog, and it's a great choice for lunch. Another nice meeting spot is Sam and Jack's deli on the top floor of the Marketplace -- plenty of parking. If you want to pick up sandwiches and go to the beach, Baked in the Sun does a great job, too.

Lime Inn has been a long time favorite of mine for lunch. The Banana Deck is good too. Great salads at both places and plenty of other things as well. Both are a sit down/table service kind of place, which is what I think you are looking for.

Sun Dog at Mongoose, High Tide or Waterfront Bistro at Warfside.
