Friends of ours have recently bought a house, and are thinking of renting their 1/1 apartment in a group of condos that overlook the mahogany run golf course area. Is this a safe place for me (22 year old female) to live by myself? Would I be better off with a roommate for safety? I know I like the area between town and the east end, which this apartment isnt really in...but its a good deal. Any females moving down in March need roommates?

Hello Meg,
Do you know the name of the condo development? Is it Palm Gardens Condos. There are two other small multi-apartment buildings close by to Palm Gardens that also overlook the golf course; but I wouldn't call them condos.
In any case Mandahl & Wintberg, which are the two estates in that area are relatively quiet, residential areas. There is an elementary school nearby, also a small convenience store. It’s a short drive to Magens Bay. It’s a good area.

Thanks! I am not sure which development its in...it might not be a condo complex...it has a pool, I know that...I'll find out.

That area is good and safe. I am also moving down in the fall but living in the east end, I had the same concerns as you being 23 and going to be living alone. Let me know if I can help you with anything

Palm Gardens has 2 and 3 bedrooms. I don't know of any one bedrooms there. It is a great area for you... close to everything, and safe and quiet.

My boyfriend and I just bought a place in Mahogany Run. It's a great area. He will be moving down next week and I'll be there in another month. Let me know if you need anything.
