I am hoping to relocate from the Pacific NW to St. Croix near the end of September. I am concerned about finding connections to help get my foot in the door for possible long-term work. I have a BS and 3 plus years of experience in a variety of sampling techniques and habitats. If you have any ideas or helpful hints, I'd truly be grateful.

UVI on St Croix had a job posted for Research Analyst for implementing a coral reef monitoring program. Need to be a skilled boat handler, SCUBA diver. Salary $28,387- $32,457 depending on qualifications and experience. App deadline 8/4/06..
